androgynary Applied to flowers in which both stamens and pistils are developed into petals, as in the double narcissus.

Androgyne (pronounced AN-dra-jine) is the term used to describe persons who are androgynous. Androgyny, first and foremost, is a state of mind, not just an attitude or fashion statement. The notion that only androgynous-looking people can be or are androgynous is a misconception. Androgynes can be said to have the gender identity of both a man and a woman -- or neither. Some identify with both traditional genders, while others see their identity as more of a synthesis and consider themselves to be agendered, as in "other" or "none of the above." Some androgynes go as far as to call themselves "gender outlaw" (a term popularized by Kate Bornstein).

ANDROGYNE
Definition:

A biological condition resulting from hormonal miscues during fetal washing of the brain during gender
identity development. The patient postnatally merges both polar gender identities displaying an assortment
of both masculine and feminine qualities.
Alternative names: third sex; unisex

Androgyne is simply a person who feels they are not strictly a man or a woman. Some androgynes feel that they are both, while others feel that they are neither. For yet others, it depends on the day. Androgyne is a person who cannot be defined by the traditional system of two genders.
